Lockdown Challenge Day 13: Ebon Fantasy

I have already waxed lyrically about Sarah Newton’s Monsters & Magic— “Old School Fantasy, New School Play”, her role-playing game that aims at replicating and emulating the Old School fantasy role-playing experience whilst using modern mechanics. Well, this mechanic does have a name, it is called the “Effect Engine”. Since the Effect Engine has been released under the Open Gaming Licence, other people have used it, most notably Ebon Gryphon Games. The latter have published two absolutely fantastic books, Aperita Arcana and Collectanea Creaturae, which add lots and lots of options to the core Monsters & Magic rules.

Ebon Gryphon Games are currently gathering all those improvements under a single heading—at the moment tentatively called Ebon Fantasy.

I am using the draft version 0.90 from 29 December 2018 (no idea if there’s a more recent one) to generate today’s character.
